Safety Architecture

Layered protection, with every layer tested before the pack leaves the floor.

Safety in a battery pack is not one feature. It is chemistry choice, then physical layout, then electronic protection, then validation — in that order, because each layer only matters if the ones before it were done properly.

The layers, in order

  1. 01 Chemistry LiFePO4 has a far higher thermal runaway threshold than cobalt chemistries. The safest failure is the one the chemistry does not permit.
  2. 02 Mechanical Steel enclosure, vibration isolation, cell spacing and electrical isolation between block, board and case.
  3. 03 Electronic Over-charge, over-discharge, short-circuit and temperature protection, sensed per cell group.
  4. 04 Validation Every protection path is deliberately triggered and logged on every unit. An untriggered protection is a claim, not a feature.

Safe handling

  • Use only a compatible charger recommended by JRP.
  • Charge the battery in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
  • Keep the battery between 10 °C and 45 °C for best performance.
  • Store the battery at 40-60% charge if it will not be used for a long time.
  • Inspect the battery regularly for any damage or swelling.
  • Follow installation and connection guidelines properly.

Never do this

  • Do not expose the battery to water or moisture.
  • Do not short circuit the battery terminals.
  • Do not disassemble, crush or puncture the battery.
  • Do not expose to fire, high heat or direct sunlight.
  • Do not use any damaged or unauthorised charger.
  • Do not connect cells in reverse polarity.
